How to use Betamethasone Dipropionate?
Diprolene [Betamethasone Dipropionate Cream] is a topical formulation which is available as a cream. It is to be applied directly onto the skin. A thin strip of the cream is to be spread gently on the area that has been affected once or twice a day. It has come to notice that using the cream for a prolonged period of time or in large doses may cause its absorption into the body. This may reduce the amount of cortisol that is produced by adrenal glands. As such, using more than 50 ml of the cream a week or for a period of more than 14 days is forbidden. Also, using the cream along with occlusive dressings is not right as this kind of dressing increases absorption inside the body. |
